FUTSAL

FUTSAL BALLS HAVE CHARACTER - THEY STAY ON THE GROUND.

futsal BRILLANT - QUALITY COMES FROM INSIDE

As with all other balls in our assortment, the quality of our futsal range is very high and the durability very good. An optimally round futsal consists of 32 panels composed of 12 pentagons and 20 hexagons. The 32 panels are sewn together using 630 double stitches and 60 corner stitches and are closed off—especially for DERBYSTAR—with a double knot, which makes the ball last longer. Behind the elegant exterior of our futsal balls hides a specially designed butyl bladder filled with synthetic wool, which ensures a reliable, reduced bounce and makes the futsal ball easier to control compared to a regular football. All our balls have a butyl valve to minimize loss of air through the valve. To stabilize the ball and permanently maintain optimal roundness, the ball’s 32 panels are lined with several layers of textile fibers. This lining regulates softness and improves the contact between ball and foot. The outer layer of our futsal balls is made of synthetic leather (PU). The surface of this material can either be shiny, matt or shimmering and consists of countless PU fibers. In combination, this results in a futsal with a strong surface with constant softness.

High quality is most important to DERBYSTAR. That’s why every ball is tested in our production facility in Pakistan. At the facility, the seams, surface, roundness, circumference, weight, loss of air and printing are checked. Even the bladders are inflated beforehand to ensure perfect balance. Our quality standards are the highest in the industry and exceed FIFA regulations for top match balls. The balls are naturally also tested and approved in accordance with FIFA and IMS standards.

Main differences to footballs

SIze
While a football in the senior segment must be of size 5 and have a circumference of 68-69 cm, a futsal has a circumference of 62-64 cm.

Weight
The futsal ball is smaller than a regular football, but with a weight of 410-430 g it weighs about the same. Given the circumference-to-weight ratio, it is heavier.

Bounce
The futsal ball has a greatly reduced bounce. If dropped from a height of 2 m, its bounce must be between 50 and 60 cm. This ensures better ball control indoors.
